Breast Cancer Initiative of East Africa’s 2016 Ulinzi Walk – a Africa interest event taking place on 2016-06-18 10:00:00 in United States
The mission of Breast Cancer Initiative of East Africa comes from the Swahili word "ulinzi", which means "to protect, guard, watch over, save."
BCIEA's annual Ulinzi Walk raises money to purchase and ship educational smartphones to over 250 villages in east Africa. These phones come equipped with an application that women can use to learn about breast cancer detection, research, and treatment. In a world where cancer can appear to be a death sentence, we are giving women a chance at recovery and a new lease of life. With games, food, and fun, people of all ages can come and participate in this great cause. We hope you will join us in making another positive step forward for breast health!
