The Boxer Super Run Durban is celebrating its fourth anniversary in true Boxer Super Run style, with thousands of runners set to take on a high-energy 5km route on Sunday, 18 October 2026.
Returning to Durban’s iconic beachfront in 2026, the Boxer Super Run Durban, in partnership with Powerade and Rexona, will bring together competitive racing, community spirit and plenty of fun for runners of all fitness levels.
“The Boxer Super Run has always been about making the 5km accessible, exciting and enjoyable for everyone, and in 2026 we are given another opportunity to celebrate what makes this event so special,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Durban provides the perfect setting, with its iconic beachfront, a fast and flat route and an incredible running community. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, taking on your first 5km or simply coming out to have fun with friends and family, we look forward to experiencing 5km racing at its best with thousands of participants on Sunday, 18 October.”
The route will proceed along Snell Parade from Athlone Street towards Battery Beach Road, where runners will turn right onto Battery Beach Road. From there, the route continues onto Masabalala Yengwa Avenue before runners make their way onto the Durban beachfront promenade.
Highlighting the appeal of the Boxer Super Run Durban route, Lee-Ann Pillay, Head of Marketing at Boxer Superstores, says participants can look forward to an exciting 5km experience with some of Durban’s most iconic landmarks along the way:
“With the Durban Golden Mile, Battery Beach and the Suncoast precinct among the landmarks along the route, participants can look forward to a memorable race experience, with the Indian Ocean providing an iconic backdrop,” says Pillay. “The fast and flat 5km route provides the ideal platform for runners looking to test themselves against the clock, chase a personal best or simply enjoy the energy of race day. For the elite field, the course will provide an exhilarating test of speed, endurance and race strategy, while Open and Super Social Wave participants can embrace the Boxer Super Run experience at their own pace.”
