A cool Camps Bay Beach image:
Biking in Tennessee Valley

Every chance I get, I ride my electric bike up and down some of the beautiful trails off Tennessee Valley, from Oakwood Valley to Haypress Camp and Chapparal, in the peaceful Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
In the spring, the valley is lush and green, blooming with colorful lupine, checker-bloom, blue-eyed grass, California buttercup, and California poppy. I often cross paths with other hikers and bikers, and it feels good to share this experience with them, even while we keep at a safe distance from each other, due to the Coronavirus.
I try to go biking every day, to clear my head and stay healthy during the pandemic. We are incredibly lucky to have so many beautiful trails right in our own backyard. And I am grateful that our health crisis is nudging us all to exercise in nature, connect with our neighbors and live more sustainably.
