When it comes to heating and cooling any space, the costs involved can begin to add up. As the winter months approach, heating requirements take their toll, while the summer months have everyone running around to find ways to cool down. In turn, there’s a surge in energy generation and costs that have a ripple effect on our environment. Unfortunately, these costs seem unavoidable. So, what can you do?
Looking at air to water heat pump systems for effective heating
Air to water heat pump systems, or AWHPs, are efficient systems that provide space and floor heating, as well as cooling, and hot water supply. And the best part? The more you use them, the more you’ll save.
AWHPs are sustainable when it comes to heating spaces as they extract heat from ambient air and other sources in the environment. They then use this heat to change the temperature of the space according to user preferences. As a result, they offer long-term savings and are more sustainable than other conventional systems.
Investing in a solution that meets your heating needs
LG’s THERMA V AWHP is comprehensive heating, cooling and hot water solution. It can easily be installed in the home and can replace existing geysers. This is something worth looking into as the THERMA V has been proven to be up to four times more effective than conventional geysers. The AWHP can also function in cold conditions of up to -25°C and can heat water to a maximum of 65°C.
The system absorbs 75% of its natural energy from outside air, with the remaining 25% being provided by electricity. It also reduces CO2 emissions that would’ve been present if you had been using an oil or gas geyser.
With smart heating controls, the solution is easy to use and can be set to meet the needs of your lifestyle. Of course, the most effective way to manage your energy consumption is to monitor your power usage regularly to see whether there is room for change and improvement. In turn, you will be able to reduce your energy costs significantly and decrease your CO2 emissions.
The importance of sustainability
Finding sustainable forms of energy is important when it comes to achieving sustainable development goals. This is because of the role it plays in reducing poverty by providing much-needed health advancements and reducing educational gaps while providing infrastructure support and development – all in an attempt to combat climate change.
In a world that is looking to reduce CO2 emissions, we all need to do our part in fighting combat change. Finding energy-efficient ways to complete daily tasks should be on the top of our lists – more so when they are able to save you money in the process.
