Athletics: Mediterranean Marathon – a Sport interest event taking place on 2016-10-12 00:00:00 in Spain
The towns of Castelldefels, Gavà and Sitges in the province of Barcelona are the site of this annual race which is run for most of the way along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.
The idea is to enjoy a day of athletics beside the sea and to see three major races, as in addition to the Mediterranean Marathon there is also a Half Marathon and another 10-kilometre race. The course is generally flat, and the start and finishing lines are at the Catalonia Olympic Channel in Castelldefels.
