******* ANOMALOUS PRESENTS – DAR DISKU ******
After too long of a wait, we're back and bringing you a worldie
Hot off the back of shows with Habibi Funk, Awesome Tapes From Africa, Nabihah Iqbal and Clap!Clap! – Middle Eastern selectors and record label 'Dar Disku' are set to play Bristol on 12 March. Known for their eclectic sets of HabibiHouse, Funk, Disco and more from across the Middle-East this show a must see. The Label/Production duo recently released 'DAR DISKU 001' which was featured by Resident Advisor as a track of the day and has been championed by BBC and NTS residents such as Nabihah Iqbal and Charlie Bones.
'A duo who will stop at nothing in search of the perfect beat, Dar Disku are seeking out hidden paths into the forgotten discos of the Middle East…A new two-track release is intended to kick out the jams are your local Hafla – the Middle Eastern word for a party or rave – and it's a stellar one-two of disco abandon" – CLASH MAGAZINE
"We were both playing on the same night and when they were djing it was on of the best dj sets i've heard in a long time. Their set really blew me away" – NABIHAH IQBAL (BBC/NTS)
"A bumping edit of Syrian wedding performer Sarya Al Sawas by Moving Still, AKA Jamal Sul, taken from the first release on Bahraini-British label Dar Disku, worth the price of admission for the bassline alone. – RESIDENT ADVISOR
