A Pledge of R8 Million For Back To School To Ignite Hope For South African Learners

The Hollywood Foundation is thrilled to unveil the eagerly awaited return of its highly successful “Back to School” campaign. With a remarkable R8 million pledge, the campaign aims to support parents and empower learners from diverse communities across South Africa, at the beginning of the new school year by providing them with essential school supplies.

This year’s campaign launch holds significance as it features collaborations with influential personalities and organisations that share the Hollywood Foundation’s vision. To aid in school selection, the Hollywood Foundation has partnered with Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassadors; non-profit organisations; sports clubs; renowned personalities, including musicians Khuli Chana; Big Zulu & Sjava; Mr Thela; Rugby player Makazole Mampimpi, and main stream and community radio stations.

In an effort to expand the campaign’s impact, Hollywoodbets’ 97 retail branches nationwide will actively contribute to making a positive difference in the lives of learners, particularly in areas of their operation.

“Education is the key to unlocking the full potential of our youth, and the ‘Back to School’ campaign, set to commence its handovers from the 22 January 2024, is a testament to our commitment to empowering the next generation. Through the school supplies drive, we look forward to positively setting the academic scene by ensuring that each child is provided with uniform and stationery and to further alleviate the emotional stress weighing on parents, fostering a community where education is a beacon of hope and opportunity.” Said Vuyisile Ngobese, Hollywood Foundation PR Officer.
