Wishing you an electrifying New Year! This is one of my favourite non-wildlife pics from 2016. It looks like an alien cityscape, but it’s a single 4 second exposure of a lightning storm over a petroleum refinery near Jo’burg, South Africa. It quickly moved in my direction and it wasn’t long before I had to pack up and run. #BBCEarth #EarthOnLocation #Lightning #Weather #Storm #Refinery #SouthAfrica #Alien #City #Storm
